dud you did great ~~~~~ the shading on the cloth, face and the hand are so good... but dont you think the hair look alittle bit weird. It's seem that the light come from above not the left side. Still great 4/5
very nice effect! 5h collect
fantastic perspective...
WELL DONE..5/5..
5/5 because....well, i mean look at the drawing! stop reading this comment and scroll up to the picture...stop...STOP!! ok u can keep reading but ur missing the epic picture
I love the shades and all. The hairs are great. Maybe I would lighten the front hand more, because there is really a giant boost of light coming from the white light ball.
Continued: Try to stick to a simple shading process from start to finish, 2 to 3 tones max. Inspiration: Check out the works of Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll - 1993). Good luck, buddeh. 3
Continued: One thing you can do to change that, have the sword point towards the viewer, move the hand closer to the face and make the head smaller in comparison, that should make it pop some more. Also, i've noticed your "cartoony" shading style.
Continued: The perspective of the head compared to the hand and the light source is off. Try to stay faithful to the light source, all the highlights and "awesome" sparkly stuff won't add anything if the basics aren't working in the first place.
Here it is, civil. First of all the pose could be stronger and as grimm mentioned the 2d feel of the arm holding the sword is distracting in contrast to the overall piece. The extreme angle you mentioned, is also refered to as "foreshortening".
