Oh an yeah, A different bg colour would really make the flower stand out, Like black or something.

thank you all..n thanx blackbird for the good suggestion..the background of the ref pic that i used is also like the way u hve said..but i have worked on the rose for sometime n cud not get on with the background cause i was really tired then...:D

beautiful rose and water drops , but its better to change the background color.try to use the background dark green(if u want used green) and make it a faded look , which make the rose more attractive and real 5/5
